This is a large Jane Hissey Old Bear Card. It welcomes Old Bear back into the fold after he had been stashed away in the attic as the children were rough with him. Now they are older Bramwell thinks it's time for him to come back home.
" ' Welcome home, Old Bear,' said Bramwell Brown, patting his friend on the back. The others patted him too, just to make him feel at home. 'It's nice to have you back,' they said. 'It's nice to be back,' replied Old Bear. This extract appears inside the card on the reverse of the front cover and is taken from the Old Bear book.

Welcome Home Old Bear
Jane Hissey won worldwide acclaim for her first picture book Old Bear which has been translated into many languages and is now considered a children's classic.
